                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Calling a joint session of the House of Representatives and 
  1- 2  the Senate for the purpose of hearing a message from the 
  1- 3  Governor; inviting the Justices of the Supreme Court and the 
  1- 4  Judges of the Court of Appeals to be present at a joint 
  1- 5  session of the House of Representatives and the Senate to 
  1- 6  hear a message from the Governor; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 7  BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that His 
  1- 8  Excellency, Governor Roy E. Barnes, is hereby invited to 
  1- 9  address a joint session of the House of Representatives and 
  1-10  the Senate at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 27, 1999, in 
  1-11  the hall of the House of Representatives. 
 
  1-12  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a joint session of the House of 
  1-13  Representatives and the Senate be held in the hall of the 
  1-14  House of Representatives at 10:45 A.M. on the aforesaid date 
  1-15  for the purpose of hearing an address from His Excellency, 
  1-16  the Governor. 
 
  1-17  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a committee of fourteen, seven 
  1-18  from the House to be named by the Speaker and seven from the 
  1-19  Senate to be named by the President, be appointed to escort 
  1-20  His Excellency, the Governor, to the hall of the House of 
  1-21  Representatives. 
 
  1-22  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA 
  1-23  that the Justices of the Supreme Court and the Judges of the 
  1-24  Court of Appeals are hereby extended an invitation to be 
  1-25  present at a joint session of the House of Representatives 
  1-26  and the Senate which will be held in the hall of the House 
  1-27  of Representatives at 10:45 A.M., Wednesday, January 27, 
  1-28  1999, to hear an address by His Excellency, the Governor. 
 
  1-29  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is hereby 
  1-30  instructed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the 
  1-31  Governor and to each Justice of the Supreme Court and each
