                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending Mr. Harold John Wiles; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Mr. Harold John Wiles was born November 10, 1919, 
  1- 3  in Du Boistown, Pennsylvania, he spent his youth in New 
  1- 4  York, where he earned money by trapping fur animals and 
  1- 5  picking apples; and 
 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, on January 22, 1941, he entered the United States 
  1- 7  Army in Rochester, New York, and was immediately assigned to 
  1- 8  the Panama Canal Zone, where he was instrumental in 
  1- 9  implementing military personnel systems for the army 
  1-10  throughout World War II, and after the war he owned a 
  1-11  nursery in California until the Korean Conflict arose, and 
  1-12  he reenlisted in the army on November 9, 1951, and served in 
  1-13  Korea from August 1, 1953, until July, 1954, and he retired 
  1-14  in 1963 at Fort McPherson as a Chief Warrant Officer W-3, 
  1-15  having earned  the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations 
  1-16  Service Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the 
  1-17  National Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal Ribbon 
  1-18  with Medal Pendant, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and the 
  1-19  Army Commendation Medal with First Oakleaf Cluster; and 
 
  1-20  WHEREAS, after his retirement from the army, Mr. Wiles 
  1-21  worked for the Motor Vehicle Division of the Georgia 
  1-22  Department of Revenue and then as a federal civil servant 
  1-23  for the United States Army assigned to the Third Army 
  1-24  Headquarters at Fort McPherson and Army Headquarters in 
  1-25  Washington, D.C.; and 
 
  1-26  WHEREAS, Mr. Wiles and his lovely wife, Dean Jamison Wiles, 
  1-27  have three children, James Williams Wiles, John Jamison 
  1-28  Wiles, and Lynn Marie Wiles Esposito, and ten grandchildren, 
  1-29  Benjamin Wiles, Elizabeth Wiles, Mairi Wiles, John Jamison 
  1-30  Wiles, Jr., Andrew Hughes Wiles, Richard Maxwell Wiles, 
  1-31  Marguerite Bell Wiles, Quincy Louise Wiles, Joseph Alexander 
  1-32  Esposito, and John Christopher Esposito. 
 
  1-33  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-34  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mr. 
  1-35  Harold John Wiles for his lifetime of achievement.

  2- 2  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
