                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Recognizing and commending Jessica Davis; and for other 
  1- 2  purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, Jessica Davis of Walton County is an outstanding 
  1- 4  member of 4-H and is the recipient of a prestigious 1999 
  1- 5  National 4-H Award in the Wildlife Judging Team Event; and 
 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, 4-H Clubs of Georgia provide a unique educational 
  1- 7  opportunity for students from nine to 19 years of age to 
  1- 8  learn valuable lessons outside the classroom and offer some 
  1- 9  55 project areas in which students can develop expertise and 
  1-10  compete with one another; and 
 
  1-11  WHEREAS, Georgia's 4-H programs are coordinated by the 
  1-12  Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Georgia 
  1-13  College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and this 
  1-14  service is the major university outreach program focusing on 
  1-15  the youth of this state; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, Jessica Davis is an outstanding representative of 
  1-17  the dynamic resource this state has in its young people. 
 
  1-18  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-19  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and 
  1-20  commend Jessica Davis as the recipient of the prestigious 
  1-21  1999 National 4-H Award in the Wildlife Judging Team Event 
  1-22  and for her outstanding dedication to the principles of 4-H 
  1-23  programs. 
 
  1-24  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-25  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
