                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Honoring Zachary W. Henderson; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Zachary W. Henderson is a native of Atlanta, 
  1- 3  Georgia, a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, 
  1- 4  a dedicated civic leader in North Fulton County, and one of 
  1- 5  this state's most productive and esteemed citizens; and 
 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, he is a registered architect and serves as 
  1- 7  President of Zachary W. Henderson, A.I.A., Inc., a land 
  1- 8  planning and architectural firm established in 1965; and 
 
  1- 9  WHEREAS, his civic and social involvement span 30 years and 
  1-10  three continents; and 
 
  1-11  WHEREAS, among the many activities in which he is currently 
  1-12  involved, he serves as a member of the North Fulton Chamber 
  1-13  of Commerce, the American Institute of Architects, the 
  1-14  National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and 
  1-15  the American Quarter Horse Association; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, Mr. Henderson is a cofounder and charter member of 
  1-17  the Old Canton Street Preservation Society; chairman 
  1-18  emeritus of the Historic Roswell District Owners and 
  1-19  Business Association, Inc., and Convention and Visitors 
  1-20  Bureau; chairman of the Historic Roswell Economic 
  1-21  Development Council; chairman emeritus of the North Fulton 
  1-22  Community Foundation; and chairman of the Board of Trustees 
  1-23  of the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance; and 
 
  1-24  WHEREAS, he is also a founder and past president of the 
  1-25  North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, past chairman of the 
  1-26  Commission on the Future of North Fulton, and a former 
  1-27  trustee of the Chattahoochee Nature Center; and 
 
  1-28  WHEREAS, in 1974, in recognition of his many accomplishments 
  1-29  and contributions, he was honored as Citizen of the Year in 
  1-30  North Fulton. 
 
  1-31  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-32  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and 
  1-33  honor Zachary W. Henderson as an outstanding citizen of the 
  1-34  State of Georgia and express their gratitude for his

  2- 1  outstanding service and inestimable contributions to the 
  2- 2  growth and progress of North Fulton County. 
 
  2- 3  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of
