                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend Article 2 of Chapter 2 of Title 16 of the Official 
  1- 2  Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to parties to a crime, 
  1- 3  so as to provide for additional imprisonment for certain 
  1- 4  parties to crimes committed by juveniles; to repeal 
  1- 5  conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 6       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 7                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 8  Article 2 of Chapter 2 of Title 16 of the Official Code of 
  1- 9  Georgia Annotated, relating to parties to a crime, is 
  1-10  amended by adding after Code Section 16-2-20 a new Code 
  1-11  section to read as follows: 
 
  1-12    "16-2-20.1. 
 
  1-13    (a) As used in this Code section, the term 'juvenile' 
  1-14    means a person under 17 years of age. 
 
  1-15    (b) Any person who, under Code Section 16-2-20, is a party 
  1-16    to a crime committed by a juvenile, whether that juvenile 
  1-17    is convicted of that crime or adjudged to have committed a 
  1-18    delinquent act which would be a crime if committed by an 
  1-19    adult, upon conviction of being party to such crime shall 
  1-20    be punished by imprisonment for five years in addition to 
  1-21    the maximum length of imprisonment which may otherwise be 
  1-22    imposed for such crime." 
 
  1-23                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-24  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
