A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend Article 3 of Chapter 82 of Title 36 of the Official
1- 2 Code of Georgia Annotated, known as the "Revenue Bond Law,"
1- 3 so as to provide for registration of certain bonds upon the
1- 4 purchaser's request; to provide that such bonds shall be
1- 5 inscribed with the purchaser's name and delivered to the
1- 6 purchaser; to provide for an effective date; to repeal
1- 7 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
1- 8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
1- 9 SECTION 1.
1-10 Article 3 of Chapter 82 of Title 36 of the Official Code of
1-11 Georgia Annotated, known as the "Revenue Bond Law," is
1-12 amended by inserting a new Code section to be designated
1-13 Code Section 36-82-86 to read as follows:
1-14 "36-82-86.
1-15 Every issue of revenue bonds issued in accordance with
1-16 this article after July 1, 2000, shall provide that, upon
1-17 the request of the purchaser, the bonds shall be fully
1-18 registered in the purchaser's name, inscribed with the
1-19 name of the purchaser, and delivered to the purchaser."
1-20 SECTION 2.
1-21 This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2000.
1-22 SECTION 3.
1-23 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
1-24 repealed.
