A bill to amend Code Section 14-9-206.2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to election to become limited partnership, so as to provide that upon the election becoming effective the certificate of limited partnership filed with the certificate of election shall be the certificate of limited partnership of the limited partnership formed pursuant to such election unless and until amended in accordance with other provisions of law.

                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend Code Section 14-9-206.2 of the Official Code of 
  1- 2  Georgia Annotated, relating to election to become limited 
  1- 3  partnership, so as to provide that upon the election 
  1- 4  becoming effective the certificate of limited partnership 
  1- 5  filed with the certificate of election shall be the 
  1- 6  certificate of limited partnership of the limited 
  1- 7  partnership formed pursuant to such election unless and 
  1- 8  until amended in accordance with other provisions of law; to 
  1- 9  provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and 
  1-10  for other purposes. 
 
  1-11       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1-12                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1-13  Code Section 14-9-206.2 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1-14  Annotated, relating to election to become limited 
  1-15  partnership, is amended by striking in its entirety 
  1-16  paragraph (3) of subsection (c) and inserting in lieu 
  1-17  thereof a new paragraph (3) to read as follows: 
 
  1-18      "(3) Certificate of limited partnership filed with the 
  1-19      certificate of election shall be the articles of 
  1-20      organization certificate of limited partnership of the 
  1-21      limited partnership formed pursuant to such election 
  1-22      unless and until amended in accordance with this 
  1-23      chapter;" 
 
  1-24                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-25  This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the 
  1-26  Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval. 
 
  1-27                           SECTION 3. 
 
  1-28  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
