A RESOLUTION
1- 1 Commending Craig S. Lesser; and for other purposes.
1- 2 WHEREAS, Craig S. Lesser has served Georgia Power for 17
1- 3 years in positions in Corporate Communication, Regulatory
1- 4 Affairs, Federal Legislative Affairs, and most recently as
1- 5 Vice President of Governmental and Regulatory Affairs; and
1- 6 WHEREAS, this New York born and educated Yankee has
1- 7 diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of
1- 8 his time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of his
1- 9 community and the state he has called home for over 20 years
1-10 through his involvement as a trustee of the Georgia
1-11 Foundation of Independent Colleges and position on the Board
1-12 of Directors of the 4-H Foundation; and
1-13 WHEREAS, he is a graduate of Leadership Georgia and the
1-14 Regional Leadership Institute, State University of New York,
1-15 and the Harvard University Graduate School of Business
1-16 Advanced Management International Senior Manager's Program,
1-17 as well as a trust of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation;
1-18 and
1-19 WHEREAS, his significant organizational and leadership
1-20 talents, his remarkable patience and diplomacy, his keen
1-21 sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the
1-22 citizens of his community have earned him the respect and
1-23 admiration of his colleagues and associates; and
1-24 WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an
1-25 unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence,
1-26 fairness, and kindness; and
1-27 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the newest
1-28 Vice President of Southern Energy Incorporated be
1-29 appropriately recognized.
1-30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the
1-31 members of this body commend Craig S. Lesser for his two
1-32 decades of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated
1-33 public service to the citizens of his community and the
1-34 state and extend to him their most sincere best wishes for
1-35 continued health and happiness as he moves back to New York.

2- 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is
2- 2 authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of
2- 3 this resolution to Craig S. Lesser.
