A RESOLUTION
1- 1 Commending Chad J. Hepler; and for other purposes.
1- 2 WHEREAS, Chad J. Hepler of Boy Scout Troop 2000 in Duluth,
1- 3 Georgia, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the most
1- 4 distinguished order conferred by the Boy Scouts of America;
1- 5 and
1- 6 WHEREAS, a candidate for this highest award in scouting must
1- 7 complete a rigorous program of training and demonstrate his
1- 8 proficiency in selected scouting techniques; and
1- 9 WHEREAS, it is the extraordinary young man who meets the
1-10 supreme standards of excellence demanded of candidates for
1-11 the Eagle Scout rank; and
1-12 WHEREAS, he has ably demonstrated his aptitude and
1-13 competency in mastering the various special skills imparted
1-14 through the Boy Scout program, passed his Eagle Scout board
1-15 of review, and completed a challenging service project
1-16 beneficial to his community; and
1-17 WHEREAS, he has truly exhibited a commitment to the scouting
1-18 principles of honesty, fairness, and service to community
1-19 and has consistently conducted himself in a manner becoming
1-20 an Eagle Scout; and
1-21 WHEREAS, it is most fitting to recognize this outstanding
1-22 young man and to convey admiration for his most notable
1-23 accomplishments in scouting.
1-24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the
1-25 members of this body commend Chad J. Hepler on his
1-26 diligence, determination, and dedication in pursuing the
1-27 highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and
1-28 congratulate him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle
1-29 Scout.
1-30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is
1-31 authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of
1-32 this resolution to Chad J. Hepler.
