                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending the Augusta Christian School boys' basketball 
  1- 2  team; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, the Augusta Christian School boys' basketball team 
  1- 4  has had an outstanding record of success; and 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, the team won consecutive regional titles in 1997, 
  1- 6  1998, and 1999 and has appeared in six consecutive state 
  1- 7  tournaments, winning the first state championship in the 
  1- 8  school's history in 1996, state runner-up in 1998, and a 
  1- 9  second state championship in 1999; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, the talent, hard work, determination, and success 
  1-11  of this team's players and coaches, whose head coach Michael 
  1-12  Gold was named the 1999 GISA State Coach of the Year, have 
  1-13  earned them the respect and admiration of their peers and 
  1-14  fans alike; and 
 
  1-15  WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that they be 
  1-16  recognized by this body. 
 
  1-17  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the 
  1-18  members of this body commend the players and coaches of the 
  1-19  Augusta Christian School boys' basketball team for their 
  1-20  outstanding achievements and wish them continued success. 
 
  1-21  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is 
  1-22  authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of 
  1-23  this resolution to the Augusta Christian School boys'
