A BILL TO BE
ENTITLED
AN ACT
To amend Code Section 40-16-3 of the Official Code of
Georgia Annotated, relating to the board and commissioner of motor vehicle
safety, so as to change certain provisions relating to per diem expense
allowances of board members; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
Code Section 40-16-3 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to the board and commissioner of motor vehicle safety, is
amended by striking subsection (d) and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:
"(d)
The members of the board shall receive no salary for their service on the board
but any member who is not otherwise a public state
officer or employee shall receive a per diem expense allowance as provided in
subsection (b) of Code Section
45-7-21."
SECTION 2.
This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the
Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval.
SECTION 3.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
repealed.
