A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend Code Section 49-5-12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to licensing and inspection of child welfare agencies and child care facilities, so as to require the display of certain inspection results; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

Code Section 49-5-12 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to licensing and inspection of child welfare agencies and child care facilities, is amended by striking subsection (g) and inserting in its place a new subsection (g) to read as follows:
"(g) All licensed or commissioned child welfare agencies shall prominently display the license or commission issued to such agency by the department at some point near the entrance of the premises of such agency that is open to view by the public. In addition, all child care institutions, family day-care homes, group day-care homes, or day-care centers shall post at that same location the results of any inspection of such institution, home, or center which has been conducted by the Department of Human Resources or the Office of School Readiness."

SECTION 2.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
