The House Committee on Special Judiciary offers the following substitute to HB 134:




A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend Code Section 48_5_493 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to failure to attach and display a mobile home location permit decal and venue for prosecution, so as to provide for prosecution of violations in municipal courts of consolidated governments; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Code Section 48_5_493 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to failure to attach and display a mobile home location permit decal and venue for prosecution, is amended by striking subsection (c) and inserting in its place the following:
"(c) Violation of subsection (a) or (b) of this Code section may be prosecuted in the magistrate court of the county where the mobile home location permit is to be issued in the manner prescribed for the enforcement of county ordinances set forth in Article 4 of Chapter 10 of Title 15. Violation of subsection (a) or (b) of this Code section may also be prosecuted by any consolidated government in the municipal court of any such consolidated government where the mobile home is located."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
