House Resolution 1229

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing Alfonzo L. Hall, President and Chief Executive
Officer of International Agile Manufacturing, LLC (I.A.M.) and inviting him to
appear before the House of Representatives; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Alfonzo L. Hall, the President
and Chief Executive Officer of International Agile Manufacturing, LLC (I.A.M.),
decided to pay tribute to the victims of the Attack on America on September 11,
2001; and
WHEREAS, out of his desire to honor the
victims of this horrible act of terrorism was born the idea of creating a
commemorative medallion cast from some of the structural steel at the site of
the World Trade Center in New York that collapsed on that fateful day;
and
WHEREAS, he strongly believed that the
tremendous human loss could be memorialized and the contributions and lives of
victims remembered with care by recasting some of the steel into simple markers
that contain a meaningful message regarding American unity;
and
WHEREAS, the proceeds from the sale of these
commemorative medallions are to augment the national fund for the World Trade
Center victims and genuine compassion and care forged this simple symbol of our
strength as a nation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize
and commend Alfonzo L. Hall, President and Chief Executive Officer of
International Agile Manufacturing, LLC (I.A.M.), on his efforts to commemorate
the human loss on September 11, 2001, and invite him to appear before the House
at a time to be determined by the Speaker.
BE IT
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Alfonzo L.
Hall.
