A RESOLUTION

Commending Kipp Monroe Manning; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Kipp Monroe Manning was named the 2002 Teacher of the Year for Oak Vista Elementary School where his excellent ability as a Math teacher since 1998 is well known; and

WHEREAS, he has been nominated by his school as the 2002 Georgia Teacher of the Year in recognition of his special talent as a classroom teacher; and

WHEREAS, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional ability, enthusiasm, and understanding to his students and provided encouragement in their efforts to learn; and

WHEREAS, he has assisted his fellow teachers and has eagerly sought improvements in the resources for teachers that promote student understanding and creativity; and

WHEREAS, throughout his years of teaching he has shown a deep commitment to the profession and an abiding concern for the welfare and personal development of students.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body commends Kipp Monroe Manning on being named the 2002 Teacher of the Year for Oak Vista Elementary School and nominated by his school as the 2002 Georgia Teacher of the Year and expresses its congratulations and appreciation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Kipp Monroe Manning.
