A RESOLUTION
Expressing regret at the passing of Ola Bell Legg Osborn;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Ola Bell Legg
Osborn, a fine and distinguished individual, untimely passed away on January 30,
2002; and
WHEREAS, she devoted her life to her
community through her many years of service as a beautician;
and
WHEREAS, this beloved lady was actively
involved in the civic, religious, and charitable affairs of her community and
gave unstintingly and unceasingly of her time, talents, and energy to improve
the quality of life in her community, as dramatically evidenced by her many
years of work as usher and Sunday school teacher at the 25th Street Baptist
Church and her work with the Boy Scouts;
and
WHEREAS, her unparalleled organizational and
leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of
vision, and her acute sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of her community
earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates;
and
WHEREAS, the untimely passing of this generous,
unselfish, and devoted family woman leaves an unfillable void in the hearts and
lives of her family and friends.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE
IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body
express their deepest and most sincere regret at the passing of Ola Bell Legg
Osborn.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of
the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Ola Bell Legg Osborn.
