A RESOLUTION

Commending Major General Dennis G. Haines, Commander, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, and inviting him to appear before the House of Representatives; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Major General Dennis G. Haines is the distinguished Commander of the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, who was appointed to this prestigious military post in February, 2000, in recognition of his national reputation; and

WHEREAS, he has an impressive history of notable accomplishments, education, and assignments that demonstrate his extraordinary ability and leadership, and his extensive training and experience in engineering, logistics, and management bode well for this key military base and for the countless personnel, civilians, and businesses connected to it; and

WHEREAS, Warner Robins ALC has worldwide management responsibility for repair, modification, and overhaul of the F-15 Eagle, the C-130 Hercules, the C-141 Starlifter, the C-5 Galaxy, and all Air Force helicopters and provides logistical support for all missiles, vehicles, and the computer, avionics, and electronic systems for most aircraft; and

WHEREAS, Robins Air Force Base is one of the most significant and diverse facilities in the U.S. Air Force and is the largest industrial complex in Georgia, and the economic impact of this vital component of our national warfare team across Georgia is $3.2 billion; and

WHEREAS, it is a tremendous pleasure to welcome Major General Dennis G. Haines to the State of Georgia as we acknowledge his very capable direction of this key military post.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body commends Major General Dennis G. Haines, Commander, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base on his superb leadership and invites him to appear before this body at a time to be determined by the Speaker.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Major General Dennis G. Haines.
