A RESOLUTION
Commending Richard Silvers; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Richard Silvers has long
been recognized by the citizens of New Hope for the vital role that he has
played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the
citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, he has
diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time, talents,
and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced
dramatically by his many years of superlative service as a member of the New
Hope Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS,
he has repeatedly and without thought for his own personal safety risked his
life to help the citizens of New Hope;
and
WHEREAS, this courageous volunteer is
widely known throughout the state for his effective and efficient fire-fighting
and emergency services; and
WHEREAS, it is
abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable, heroic, and distinguished Georgian be appropriately
recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY
THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Richard
Silvers for his two decades of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated
public service to the citizens of his community and state and extend to him
their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of
this resolution to Richard Silvers.
