A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Lauren Konrad Meyers; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lauren Konrad Meyers of Girl Scout Troop 360 in the Daisy Creek Service Unit of the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia has attained the highest honor conferred by the Girl Scouts of America, the prestigious Gold Award, and her Court of Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2001; and

WHEREAS, the Gold Award is the premier recognition accorded to a Senior Girl Scout, and the achievement of this award denotes exceptional proficiency and personal development in this very special program for young women; and

WHEREAS, she has consistently demonstrated the superior ability, leadership, and commitment to community service that is ideally expected of a Senior Girl Scout; and

WHEREAS, she has exhibited an understanding of the scouting principles of honesty, reliability, and fairness and has consistently conducted herself in a manner becoming of a Girl Scout of the highest rank and has been a model for others to follow; and

WHEREAS, she ably completed the demanding goals of this rigorous scouting program and the regional Girl Scout Council is proud to recognize her exemplary performance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Lauren Konrad Meyers on her exceptional achievement in earning the Girl Scout Gold Award and convey to her their congratulations and best wishes in her future pursuits.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Lauren Konrad Meyers.
