A RESOLUTION

Commending the Eagle's Landing Middle School Lady Eagles basketball team; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Eagle's Landing Middle School Lady Eagles basketball team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence in basketball with equal emphasis on character and academics; and

WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed a successful season of basketball competition by winning the Metro Middle School Athletic League Championship; and

WHEREAS, this outstanding team became the county champion by finishing with a 9-1 record against other middle schools in Henry County; and

WHEREAS, this team's success is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of this team; and

WHEREAS, this impressive team performed with precision during the season and earned its well deserved reputation for high standards of achievement both on and off the court.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the Eagle's Landing Middle School Lady Eagles basketball team for its outstanding achievements and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the future.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Simpson of the Eagle's Landing Middle School Lady Eagles basketball team.
