Recognizing and commending Tim Jones; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Tim Jones of Jonesboro, Georgia, was named 2000 Builder Member of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Georgia in recognition of his success and leadership as a quality home builder; and

WHEREAS, he founded Tim Jones Communities more than 20 years ago and has become the leading builder in the Clayton/Henry County area of Metro South Atlanta; and

WHEREAS, the company has produced approximately 2,000 new homes over the years and is currently building over 300 homes a year with its products spanning the market; and

WHEREAS, he was the 1998-99 president of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and a past president of the Metro South Home Builders Association and for two consecutive years the company received the Professionalism Awards from the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council and the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association; and

WHEREAS, his company has also received the prestigious Diamond Builder award for superior construction standards, design quality, and outstanding customer service.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Tim Jones and his company for his superb leadership and quality in the home building industry and convey their best wishes to him.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Tim Jones.
