Congratulating Lady & Sons; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lady & Sons was recently named Wachovia 2001 Hospitality Small Business of the Year by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, under the guiding hand of its owner, Paula Deen, this outstanding company has grown from its humble beginnings to become one of the leading businesses in this state; and

WHEREAS, this remarkable corporate citizen has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout Georgia for its ability to accommodate changes in the small business environment, and it continues to meet the diversified needs of its customers with friendly and professional service; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this amazing company be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate Lady & Sons on the occasion of its being named Wachovia 2001 Hospitality Small Business of the Year, commend it for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia, and extend to it their best wishes for continued corporate growth, development, and success in the future.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Paula Deen, owner of Lady & Sons.
