Senate Resolution

A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of
Pediatrics; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, on
October 30, 2000, the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, in
recognition of its outstanding service and achievements, received the
Academy´s Outstanding Large Chapter Award;
and
WHEREAS, accepted by chapter president, Martin
H. Greenberg, M.D., the award honors the high level of commitment of the members
of the Georgia chapter and acknowledges the effectiveness of their actions on
behalf of the children of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the
American Academy of Pediatrics is committed to the attainment of optimal
physical, mental, and social health for all infants, children, adolescents, and
young adults; and
WHEREAS, the more than 1400
members of the Georgia chapter are devoted to working in good faith on
children´s health issues that will be of significant benefit to the
children of this state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body honor and congratulate the
Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and express their
appreciation for its important service to the children of the State of
Georgia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary
of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this
resolution to Martin H. Greenberg, M.D., President of the Georgia Chapter of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.
