A RESOLUTION
Commending Edwin Francis Eiswerth on becoming an Eagle
Scout; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Edwin
Francis Eiswerth obtained the coveted rank of Eagle Scout on November 21, 2000;
and
WHEREAS, since 1911, the Eagle has been the
symbol of the highest achievement among the Boy Scouts of America;
and
WHEREAS, the attainment of Eagle Scout rank
indicates that a Scout has developed leadership ability, self-confidence, mature
judgment, and mental and physical capabilities that will be of immense benefit
throughout life; and
WHEREAS, Edwin, who has been a
member of the Boy Scouts for six years and who has held numerous positions in
Troop 209, has amply demonstrated to his Scout leaders and peers that he
possesses these qualities along with sterling character;
and
WHEREAS, for a Scout to reach Eagle rank, he
must earn 21 merit badges, 11 of which are mandatory requirements for the Eagle
Scout program; and
WHEREAS, Edwin has met these
demanding requirements through diligent effort;
and
WHEREAS, in addition, Edwin holds a Black Belt
in Taekwondo, is actively involved in the Peachtree City Fire Department
Explorers, and excels academically in his high school studies;
and
WHEREAS, in achieving Eagle Scout status, Edwin
has brought honor not only to himself but also to his family and
troop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE
OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Edwin
Francis Eiswerth for his diligence and dedication in pursuing the highest honor
awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and congratulate him on attaining the
prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and
directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Edwin Francis
Eiswerth.
