Senate Resolution
358

A RESOLUTION
Commending Helen J. Hall on the occasion of her retirement;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Helen J. Hall is
retiring after 38 years of invaluable service and contributions to the field of
education as a principal and teacher; and
WHEREAS,
she exemplifies the best talents an educator can possess: a love of children,
an intuitive capacity to make scholarship interesting and inspiring, and a feel
for innovation in teaching techniques; and
WHEREAS,
she has given 19 years of quality instruction to students within the Fulton
County school system, most recently at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School
where she has been the principal; and
WHEREAS, she
has been an invaluable counseling resource and role model for her students and,
in so doing, has contributed immeasurably to the development of well-balanced
individuals ready and able to serve their communities;
and
WHEREAS, she has given of her time, talents,
and energy to numerous civic, religious, social, and educational institutions in
the community, which have been enriched by her connection to them;
and
WHEREAS, it is altogether appropriate that due
recognition and appreciation be expressed to Ms. Hall for her kind and generous
community service and for her tireless efforts on behalf of the children of this
state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE
that the members of this body honor and commend Helen J. Hall for her many years
of outstanding service as an educator in the State of Georgia and extend to her
best wishes during her years of retirement.
BE IT
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to
transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Helen J. Hall.
