ADOPTED SENATE
A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Reverend Jerry D. Black on the occasion of his
tenth anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Reverend Jerry D. Black is the esteemed pastor of the Beulah Missionary Baptist
Church in Decatur, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Reverend
Black has led the Beulah Missionary Baptist Church for the past ten years and
has served his congregation and the community at large with unsurpassed
distinction; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Black has been a
tremendous spiritual leader and a steadfast source of understanding throughout
his distinguished tenure with this great church;
and
WHEREAS, his compassionate guidance,
outstanding leadership, and unwavering commitment to Christian ideals serve as a
model for others and has inspired changes in the lives of many;
and
WHEREAS, he has devoted his talent and energy
to the community and charitably fulfilled the needs of many, both within and
outside the church, and his many contributions deserve recognition and
honor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE
that the members of this body honor and commend the Reverend Jerry D. Black for
a distinguished career of service to God and to his fellow man, congratulate him
on his tenth anniversary celebration, and convey to him their respect and
appreciation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate
copy of this resolution to Reverend Jerry D. Black.
