Designating the Dr. Creflo A. Dollar Bridge; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Dr. Creflo Dollar is the esteemed pastor and founder of the World Changers Church International, a nondenominational, word of faith church located in College Park, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, formerly an educational therapist, Dr. Dollar founded the World Changers Church International in 1986 with eight people; and

WHEREAS, today he is an internationally known author, teacher, and conference speaker with a congregation of over 20,000; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Dollar has been called by God to teach the gospel with simplicity and understanding; and

WHEREAS, he can be seen and heard throughout the world on the Changing Your World broadcast via television and radio; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Dollar is setting the standard for excellence in ministry and making a mark on the lives of millions of people around the world; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Dollar has done many great things to revitalize a deteriorating community and to assist in the prosperity of the Old National Highway community and the surrounding areas of south Fulton County; and

WHEREAS, it is impossible to fully tally the positive influence he has had on the lives of individuals and on the entire community of south Fulton County and

WHEREAS, he is dedicated to helping build a bridge between the religious community and political leaders for the benefit of the people.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY that the bridge located at Old National Highway and I-285 in Fulton County is designated the Dr. Creflo A. Dollar Bridge.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs so designating said bridge.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Dr. Creflo A. Dollar and to the Department of Transportation.
