Recognizing and commending Jamie Woodward; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Jamie Woodward of Floyd County was recently recognized as a Teen III Winner at the 2000 State 4-H Congress; and

WHEREAS, this is the highest award at the state level in the Teen Leadership Project; and

WHEREAS, the leadership skills developed by this dedicated 4-H member will be of immense value to the member in future endeavors and will be a valuable asset in the development of society and the progress of the State of Georgia and its citizens; and

WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Jamie Woodward are the result of the determination, ability, and hard work of this 4-H member and the encouragement of the member´s family and the men and women who work with 4-H throughout this state.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Jamie Woodward on becoming a Teen III Winner at the 2000 State 4-H Congress.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jamie Woodward.
