Senate Resolution
97
By: Senator Jackson of the 50th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Casey Sherman; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, the National 4-H Conference is
conducted by the 4-H Youth Development Program of the Extension Service of the
United States Department of Agriculture, the National 4-H Council, and the
Extension Services of the land grant universities;
and
WHEREAS, the National 4-H Conference is
designated as the premier assembly of 4-H members from throughout the nation to
assist Cooperative Extension Service staff in program planning;
and
WHEREAS, 4-H members attending the National 4-H
Conference make a valuable contribution to the development of programs which
redirect the path of 4-H to meet the needs of youth and our society;
and
WHEREAS, Casey Sherman of White County served
with distinction, dedication, and ability as a member of the National 4-H
Technology Team at the 2000 National 4-H Conference;
and
WHEREAS, Casey Sherman was selected for
membership on this team through a national qualification process and he is an
outstanding representative of Georgia 4-H
members.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Casey Sherman for the
outstanding manner in which he represented the State of Georgia as a member of
the National 4-H Technology Team at the 2000 National 4-H
Conference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate
copy of this resolution to Casey Sherman.
