Senate Resolution
98

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Miranda Brooks; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Miranda Brooks of Pickens
County is an outstanding member of 4-H and is the recipient of the prestigious
College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Dean´s Project Award in
Family and Consumer Sciences; and
WHEREAS, 4-H
Clubs of Georgia provide a unique educational opportunity for students from nine
to 19 years of age to learn valuable lessons outside the classroom and offer
some 55 project areas in which students can develop expertise and compete with
one another; and
WHEREAS, Georgia´s 4-H
programs are coordinated by the Cooperative Extension Service of the University
of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and this service
is the major university outreach program focusing on the youth of this state;
and
WHEREAS, Miranda Brooks, is an outstanding
representative of the dynamic resource this state has in its young
people.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Miranda Brooks as the
recipient of the prestigious College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
Dean´s Project Award in Family and Consumer Sciences and for this
outstanding 4-H member's dedication to the principles of 4-H
programs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary
of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this
resolution to Miranda Brooks.
