Senate Resolution
10EX2

A RESOLUTION
Commending Frank Moody; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Frank Moody, a resident of Cook
County, Georgia, for more than 30 years, has long been recognized for the vital
leadership role that he has played in his community and his deep personal
commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia;
and
WHEREAS, Frank Moody started the first chapter
of the NAACP in Cook County and served as president of the chapter for 12 years;
and
WHEREAS, his lifelong interest in education is
manifested by his continuous service on the Cook County Board of Education for
the past 18 years; and
WHEREAS, as a result of Mr.
Moody's active commitment to improving his community, he originated the Food
Source Program in Cook County as well as the Brothers Helping Others Club to
serve his fellow citizens who are in need;
and
WHEREAS, he serves as treasurer of the Annual
Cook County Gospel Festival and is an active member of Piney Grove Baptist
Church; and
WHEREAS, for many years, Frank Moody
has dedicated himself to selflessly serving his community and generously giving
his time and talents to efforts that benefit his fellow
citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
SENATE that the members of this body commend Frank Moody for his outstanding
community leadership and convey to him their respect and
appreciation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate
copy of this resolution to Frank Moody.
