A RESOLUTION

Commending the staff of the Reapportionment Office; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Reapportionment Office provides vital and essential services to the operations of the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, the staff of this office is responsible for the arduous and monumental task of providing the technical and creative assistance necessary for the preparation of the legislative and congressional reapportionment bills and local bills reapportioning county commissioners, school boards, and municipal governing authorities; and

WHEREAS, the genesis of these documents represents an intense knowledge and keen understanding of the reapportionment process and requires innumerable hours of meticulous and painstaking computerized conjuring of conformable configurations and statistics accumulation, collation, and interpretation on the part of the staff, often performed on an around-the-clock basis; and

WHEREAS, the members of the staff have performed their duties with steadfast dedication, unparalleled professionalism, infinite patience, and with the highest degree of premiere proficiency, assiduous ability, and complete competency; and

WHEREAS, all the members of this body owe Linda Meggers, Joe Stanton, Heather Hammond, Penny Hannah, Angela Kennedy, Gina Shelton, Paul Chapman, Shantee El, Baxter Morgan, and Thomas Buckley Levins an unpayable debt of gratitude for their peerless performance under consummately contentious and continuously chaotic circumstances and their routinely magnificent performance of the impossible.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the staff of the Reapportionment Office for their invaluable, incomparable, and herculean efforts and express their sincere thanks to these outstanding individuals for their gracious helpfulness and able assistance.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Reapportionment Office.
