Senate Resolution

A RESOLUTION
Commending the staff of the Reapportionment Office; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Reapportionment
Office provides vital and essential services to the operations of the General
Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the staff of this office is
responsible for the arduous and monumental task of providing the technical and
creative assistance necessary for the preparation of the legislative and
congressional reapportionment bills and local bills reapportioning county
commissioners, school boards, and municipal governing authorities;
and
WHEREAS, the genesis of these documents
represents an intense knowledge and keen understanding of the reapportionment
process and requires innumerable hours of meticulous and painstaking
computerized conjuring of conformable configurations and statistics
accumulation, collation, and interpretation on the part of the staff, often
performed on an around-the-clock basis;
and
WHEREAS, the members of the staff have
performed their duties with steadfast dedication, unparalleled professionalism,
infinite patience, and with the highest degree of premiere proficiency,
assiduous ability, and complete competency;
and
WHEREAS, all the members of this body owe Linda
Meggers, Joe Stanton, Heather Hammond, Penny Hannah, Angela Kennedy, Gina
Shelton, Paul Chapman, Shantee El, Baxter Morgan, and Thomas Buckley Levins an
unpayable debt of gratitude for their peerless performance under consummately
contentious and continuously chaotic circumstances and their routinely
magnificent performance of the impossible.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the staff of the Reapportionment Office for their invaluable, incomparable, and
herculean efforts and express their sincere thanks to these outstanding
individuals for their gracious helpfulness and able
assistance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate
copy of this resolution to the Reapportionment Office.
