A BILL TO BE
ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To amend Code Section 34_8_35 of the Official Code of
Georgia Annotated, relating to definition of employment for purposes of the
Employment Security Law, so as to exclude services performed by certain
corporate officers who are exempt from workers´ compensation coverage under
Chapter 9 of Title 34; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting
laws; and for other purposes.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
Code Section 34_8_35 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated, relating to definition of employment for purposes of the Employment
Security Law, is amended by adding a new paragraph (14.1) to subsection (n) to
read as
follows:
"(14.1) Services performed by a corporate officer or member of a limited liability company who is exempt from coverage under Chapter 9 of this title pursuant to Code Section 34_9_2.1;".
"(14.1) Services performed by a corporate officer or member of a limited liability company who is exempt from coverage under Chapter 9 of this title pursuant to Code Section 34_9_2.1;".
SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
repealed.
