A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend Code Section 50_5_69 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to establishment of a central bid registry, so as to provide that the Department of Administrative Services shall provide for the advertisement of bid opportunities valued at $10,000.00 or more via the Georgia Procurement Registry by a municipality, county, or local board of education without cost to such local government or board of education; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Code Section 50_5_69 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to establishment of a central bid registry, is amended by inserting immediately following subsection (b) a new subsection (b.1) to read as follows:
"(b.1) Under procedures and guidelines to be determined and enacted by the Department of Administrative Services, the Georgia Procurement Registry shall be a means of advertisement of all procurement and bid opportunities valued at $10,000.00 or more of each municipality, county, and local board of education. Advertisement in the Georgia Procurement Registry as required by this subsection shall be at no cost to the respective municipality, county, or local board of education."

SECTION 2.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
