A BILL TO BE
ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To provide for the compensation of the coroner of Columbia
County; to provide for certain reports; to repeal previous Acts providing for
the compensation of the coroner; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
(a) The coroner of Columbia County shall receive an annual
salary in the amount of $16,000.00 payable in equal monthly installments from
the funds of Columbia County.
(b) The coroner of Columbia County shall submit a monthly statement to the county treasury listing the number and type of investigations undertaken by the coroner.

SECTION 2.
An Act to provide for the compensation, expenses, and
benefits of the coroner of Columbia County, approved April 20, 1998
(Ga. L. 1998, p. 4541), is repealed in its
entirety.
SECTION 3.
An Act to amend an act to provide for the compensation,
expenses, and benefits of the coroner of Columbia County, approved April 27,
2001 (Ga. L. 2001, p. 4516), is repealed in its
entirety.
SECTION 4.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
repealed.
