A RESOLUTION
Commending Mr. Brandon Pitman; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Mr. Brandon Pitman is one of Georgia´s most promising young students; and
WHEREAS, his interest in mathematics, reading, and overall pursuit of knowledge helped propel him to achieve a near-perfect SAT score of 1580; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Pitman has selflessly given his time to tutor fellow students in mathematics, as well as offering online instruction to students he has never met; and
WHEREAS, his interests outside of school have led him to develop computer programs for himself and others, always choosing to distribute these programs and their code for free; and
WHEREAS, voted best overall in eleventh grade English, physics, and information technology, Brandon Pitman continues to push himself academically through AP courses in history, calculus, English, government, and chemistry; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Pitman looks to be a promising candidate to attend the preferred school of his choice, and he is looking forward to a career as a university professor, educating others; and
WHEREAS, it is the General Assembly´s and State of Georgia´s hope that this intellectually gifted young man should use his gifts to improve and better the lives of others as a professor or in any career he should follow, as we look forward to the day we learn of some great discovery uncovered by Brandon Pitman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body commends Brandon Pitman for his outstanding academic achievement and talents and wish him all the best and future success as he begins his college career.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Brandon Pitman.
