A RESOLUTION

Congratulating Sarah Wyatt, Miss Cobb County 2003; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the beautiful, intelligent, and talented Sarah Wyatt was selected as Miss Cobb County 2003 and will represent the county in the Miss Georgia pageant to be held in Columbus in June, 2003; and

WHEREAS, this extraordinary 2001 graduate of Lassiter High School is a sophomore at Southern Methodist University majoring in English and creative writing; and

WHEREAS, a brilliant scholar who has maintained a 4.0 grade point average, Sarah has been accepted into the Southern Methodist University Honors Program, inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta; and

WHEREAS, this accomplished young woman was drum major for the national champion Lassiter High School marching band, has received numerous awards for her musical talents, and enjoys singing, playing the piano, exercising, reading, and writing; and

WHEREAS, by her many achievements, grace, and poise, Sarah has brought credit to her parents, Dave and Karin Wyatt, and to her community and state; and all Georgians are proud of young women who, like Miss Wyatt, represent the very best that this state has to offer.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate Sarah Wyatt on becoming Miss Cobb County 2003 and wish her every success in the Miss Georgia pageant.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Sarah Wyatt, Miss Cobb County 2003.
