A RESOLUTION
Commending and recognizing Firefighter Chad King; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS, Firefighter Chad King began his career with the City of Rockmart´s Fire and Emergency Services on June 12, 2002; and
WHEREAS, he represents his city and department through courage, sacrifice, and dedication to his profession and community; and
WHEREAS, he has excelled as a firefighter through his participation in outreach programs by serving as a mentor to school children, his association with local Boy Scout Troops, and more; and
WHEREAS, he has displayed great leadership within his department, helping to establish a local volunteer firefighting program; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Chad King has been recognized by the Georgia State Firefighter´s Association, having earned their "Rookie Firefighter of the Year" honor for the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter King´s award and service has brought great honor to himself, his department, the City of Rockmart, and all its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the dependability, expertise, and commitment of Firefighter Chad King ensures the safety of his community, and distinguished firefighters such as he deserve high tribute and honor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body commends and recognizes City of Rockmart Firefighter Chad King for his outstanding service to the community and designation as the Georgia State Firefighter´s Association Rookie Firefighter of the Year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Firefighter Chad King.
