A RESOLUTION
Commending The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., and its
state-wide membership and inviting Jaydee Ager, president, to appear before the
House of Representatives; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., celebrates 76 years of service for past accomplishments while going forth with a vision for the future – with Georgia on Our Minds; and
WHEREAS, The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., has made many meaningful contributions to increase public awareness for the protection, preservation, and appreciation of the natural beauty of this great state and is dedicated to saving Georgia´s environment by advocating concern for clean water, clean air, and more greenspace; and
WHEREAS, The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., shares a deep concern for the correct use of water and has initiated an outstanding water program called FLOW, which has been introduced state wide to better inform citizens about water needs and protection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc., for its outstanding achievements and contributions to the preservation and beautification of this state and invite Jaydee Ager, president, on behalf of all its members, to appear before the House of Representatives on a date and time to be determined by the Speaker of the House.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to The Garden Club of Georgia, Inc.
