A RESOLUTION
Commending Stephen Bain; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Stephen Bain is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS, Stephen Bain is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS, this highly respected English teacher at
Eagle´s
Landing High School has served with honor and distinction as a professional
educator in the Henry County school system since graduating from the University
of Georgia in 1998 Summa Cum Laude with honors with a degree in English
Education; and
WHEREAS, in addition to teaching, Stephen Bain serves as the sponsor of the Eagle´s Landing High School book club, which was formed to foster and encourage students´ interests in reading, and has taught Communicative Arts at the Georgia Governor´s Honors Program and classes for the Georgia Professional Standards Commission; and
WHEREAS, Stephen Bain has demonstrated the highest degree of professional competence and a natural ability to relate to young people and motivate them to accomplish their goals; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of his outstanding dedication to academic excellence, he was selected as the 2003 Henry County STAR Teacher.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body heartily commend Stephen Bain for his accomplishments, dedication, and contributions on behalf of the young people of this state and congratulate him upon his selection as the 2003 Henry County STAR Teacher.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Stephen Bain.
