A RESOLUTION
Commending Youth Leadership Fayette and the Fayette County
Chamber of Commerce; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Youth Leadership Fayette represents the collaborative efforts of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, the Fayette County Development Authority, and local business and residential communities; and
WHEREAS, Youth Leadership Fayette is supported by the generous contributions of time, talent, and money of volunteers and business leaders throughout Fayette County under the sponsorship of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, now in its third successful year of operation, Youth Leadership Fayette provides students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable first-hand experience in the civic, business, and government sectors of Fayette County; and
WHEREAS, the program consists of 31 high school students from public and private schools and students and schools alike are reaping the benefits of Youth Leadership Fayette; and
WHEREAS, the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and all the program´s supporters and participants gain a great measure of pride from their work and the success of Youth Leadership Fayette.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Youth Leadership Fayette on another successful year of working with Fayette County´s youth and also commend the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce for its role in sponsoring the program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to Youth Leadership Fayette and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.
