A RESOLUTION
Commending and congratulating the City of Rutledge; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS, Rutledge provides its citizens with a superb quality of life and is home to a thriving community; and
WHEREAS, Rutledge continues to flourish while maintaining and nurturing its unique personality, charm, and traditional way of life; and
WHEREAS, Rutledge´s city government fosters strong ties with both its residents and its businesses, resulting in projects and events that are sure to be shared and enjoyed by the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Rutledge has grown responsibly through solid planning, sensible ordinances and permitting requirements, and the expert leadership provided by its energetic mayor and dutiful city councilmembers; and
WHEREAS, with its well suited location, it has been able to attract the kinds of residents and families that make it a prime example of the kind of city the State of Georgia and its citizens can be proud of; and
WHEREAS, Rutledge provides a warm, friendly, and hospitable environment and has long been a superior place to live; and
WHEREAS, for its many superior qualities, character, and municipal services, Rutledge has become a community to watch and one that is sure to prosper for many years to come.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the City of Rutledge for its commitment to the quality of life of its citizens and its strong mayoral and city council leadership and congratulate it on being a traditional community the State of Georgia can be proud of.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the City of Rutledge.
