A RESOLUTION
Commending the Gainesville High School Red Elephants
baseball team; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Gainesville High School Red Elephants baseball team captured its second straight state Class AAA championship in 2002, its fifth such championship in the last seven years; and
WHEREAS, team members demonstrated outstanding talent, drive, discipline, and teamwork throughout a long season, much to the delight of the parents, coaches, and community; and
WHEREAS, the hard work, determination, and competitive spirit of all team members contributed to the success of the Red Elephants, significantly influenced the personal development of the players, and offered them memories they will cherish for a lifetime; and
WHEREAS, all of these players have benefitted greatly from the expert training and encouragement provided by Coach Wayne Vickery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the Gainesville High School Red Elephants baseball team and offer heartfelt congratulations to the team and the coach for another remarkable championship season.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Wayne Vickery.
