A RESOLUTION

In memory and celebration of Hyron Lorenzo Williams; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Hyron Lorenzo Williams was born on December 5, 1985, the only child of Glenda Elaine Brown and the youngest child of the late civil rights leader Reverend Dr. Hosea Williams; and

WHEREAS, he was educated at Green Forest Academy, Holy Fellowship Christian Academy, Sequoia Middle School, and Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia; and

WHEREAS, at the time of his passing he was a freshman at Columbus State University where he was studying and majoring in business; and

WHEREAS, although only 18 years old, Hyron was very active in civil rights, political, humanitarian, and entrepreneurial activities including Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless; and

WHEREAS, he also worked in production on the "Voice of the Crusader" television show and as an aspiring executive in training at Hosea L. Williams Chemical and Supplies, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, he was a beloved son, brother, and friend who during a short lifetime established bonds of love that will endure forever.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body honor the life of Hyron Lorenzo Williams and express to his family their sincerest sympathy and condolences.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Glenda Elaine Brown.
