House Resolution

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Michelle Earley; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Michelle Earley has been
selected as the
state´s
recipient of the 2002 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction
for Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Michelle Earley, an
instructor in the Business Office Technology program at Coosa Valley Technical
College, has exemplified excellence in instructional knowledge and practices;
and
WHEREAS, in recognition of such, Michelle
Earley was selected from an elite group of 37 technical education instructors
who have each demonstrated exceptional and innovative teaching practices and
leadership skills at their respective technical colleges;
and
WHEREAS, through dedication and
professionalism, Michelle Earley has brought honor to herself, her family, her
college, and the Georgia Department of Technical and Adult Education, which she
represents as
Georgia´s
outstanding postsecondary technical instructor for 2002;
and
WHEREAS, as the 2002 Rick Perkins Award for
Excellence in Technical Instruction recipient, she is a spokesperson for
technical education and makes public appearances to promote
Georgia´s
system of technical colleges.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body commends Michelle
Earley for her achievements and her efforts to promote technical education in
Georgia and conveys its congratulations.
BE IT
FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House is authorized and directed to
transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Michelle Earley.
