A RESOLUTION
Commending Carrington Banks; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Carrington Banks is an outstanding individual who has excelled as an athlete, an academic, and in the community; and
WHEREAS, this stellar 9th grade student athlete attends Sequoyah High School and wrestles in the 112 lb. weight class; and
WHEREAS, during his high school wrestling career, he has complied an astonishing record of 49 wins and only four losses and won the Region VI AAAAA and state AAAAA wrestling championships; and
WHEREAS, this stellar man epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills and outstanding deeds of this accomplished student athlete be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Carrington Banks for his unprecedented athletic performance and his exemplary academic achievements, congratulate him upon winning the 2004 AAAAA state wrestling championship, and extend to him their sincerest best wishes for success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Carrington Banks.
