A RESOLUTION
Commending Ms. Meg Carpenter; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Ms. Meg Carpenter is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS, this highly respected English teacher at Ridgeland High School has served with honor and distinction as a professional educator in the Walker County school system; and
WHEREAS, she believes that her role as a teacher is to act as an instrument of inspiration to her pupils and to create a positive learning environment to enhance her students´ abilities to analyze and reason; and
WHEREAS, she is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual classroom teachers are having on the quality of education received by the children of this state; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her outstanding dedication to academic excellence, she was selected as 2004 Ridgeland High School STAR Teacher.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body heartily and gratefully commend Ms. Meg Carpenter for her sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of the young people of this state and congratulate her upon her selection as 2004 Ridgeland High School STAR Teacher.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Meg Carpenter.
