A RESOLUTION
Commending Kayla Nicole Dotson; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Kayla Nicole Dotson has demonstrated an incredible spirit in spite of having a mild intellectual disability and hearing impairment and her quiet courage and determination against overwhelming odds is a shining inspiration to all who know her; and
WHEREAS, she has gained the respect, admiration, affection, and confidence of everyone she has come in contact with, and she is a person who has become rich in the devotion and love of her family and friends; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her achievements, she has been named winner of the Yes I Can! Foundation for Exceptional Children 2003 Award; and
WHEREAS, her heroic personal achievements stand as an unparalleled tribute to the strength of the human spirit and truly exemplify the fact that, through perseverance, dedication, and prayer, all things are possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Kayla Nicole Dotson for her numerous and impressive accomplishments, recognize her as an unequaled example of success against all odds, and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for health and happiness in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Kayla Nicole Dotson.
