A RESOLUTION
Commending Barbara Kitchens; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Barbara Kitchens has long been recognized
for the vital role that she has played in providing leadership and in serving
this state; and
WHEREAS, she has diligently and
conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy
toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by
her years of superlative service as the executive director of the Sciences and
Professions Section of the Professional Licensing Boards Division of the Office
of the Secretary of State; and
WHEREAS, she has
served on many national committees advising various national boards on the
administrative impact of new programs and regulatory structures and planning the
implementation of new procedures and methodologies;
and
WHEREAS, she has received recognition for her
superb dedication and service to the professions and to this state;
and
WHEREAS, her significant organizational and
leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of
vision, and her sensitivities have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS, she is a
person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity,
intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately
recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Barbara Kitchens
for her many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service and
extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of
the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
appropriate copy of this resolution to Barbara Kitchens.
