A RESOLUTION
Commending and congratulating Tina M. Harper, the 2003
Clayton County Teacher of the Year; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Tina M. Harper of Lillie E. Suder Elementary School in Jonesboro, Georgia, has been honored as the 2003 Clayton County Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS, her innovative methods of instruction and encouraging order and quiet among her students have been so effective that she has been requested to share her ideas with other teachers in presentations on nonverbal communication, voice pollution reduction, and classroom management and at Clayton College and State University, where she conducts pedagogy labs entitled TNT Tools and Effective Communication; and
WHEREAS, her school has benefited from her dedicated and energetic service as technology lab coordinator, charter member of the Wildcat Wonders Grant Committee, and member of the reading committee, discipline committee, and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Accreditation committee; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her contributions to the education and welfare of young people in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding individual.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend and congratulate Tina M. Harper, the 2003 Clayton County Teacher of the Year, and express to her their sincerest best wishes and confidence in her continued success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Tina M. Harper.
